Tractor Chains that Solve the Minimal Clearance Problem

As mentioned I in a recent post, you must always check for tire / fender clearance before you start shopping for tire chains. It is easy to say, “Of course there is clearance, it’s a tractor. Who in the world would manufacture a tractor that has such a tight clearance that there would be no room to fit tire chains?”. Well, you would be surprised! We see this most often with industrial backhoes. Either the fender or the actual machine body too close to the tire.

AQUILINE MINIMUM CLEARANCEThe solution is a “minimal clearance” chain that we have in stock for this season. The chain is made with hardened alloy steel for longer life and has a square link design with wear bars for better traction. The cross chain sits on top of the lugs so they won’t fall in between the cleats. You still get the aggressive traction but the chain won’t damage asphalt when used for snow removal.

Minimal Clearance chains are available in the following sizes:
– 320/70×28, 12.4×24, 12.4×28

– 12×16.5, 29x1200x15

– 14×17.5, 31×15.50×15

– 12.4×16, 12.5/80×18,

– 11.2×20, 11.2×24

– 13.6×24

– 14.9×24, 15.5×25, 1300.x24, 13.6×28, 1400×20

– 15×19.5

– 420/70×24, 17.5Lx24

– 16.9×24, 16.9×28, 17.5×25, 18.4×24, 16.9×26
