This past week has been hot and humid with the temperatures in the mid 90′s, so it’s kind of difficult to switch gears and talk about tire chains. But, September is the start of chains season in New England. Snow blowers will soon be replacing lawnmowers in the equipment dealers showrooms. And with last winter’s record ice storms throughout central Massachusetts, customers will be looking for chains early this season.snow-storm

Forty foot containers of chains will be hitting our floors in late September. We sell a complete line of tire chains for the smallest snow blowers up to the largest farm tires and industrial tires. We service our dealer customer base in the northeast and mid-atlantic states as well as other customers across the US via the internet. This year will be our first season having our e-commerce website, www.kenjones.com, available with live inventory, current pricing and plenty of tire chain pictures. Don’t forget we can also custom make many different styles of tire chains such as diamond stud chain, low clearance chain and ring chain.

We’re also excited to introduce Maxi Grip Screw-in Ice Studs this season.maxi-grip These are the perfect solution for equipment where tire chains don’t fit or there is not enough clearance between the tires and fenders for tire chains.

I’ll be posting a lot more articles about tire chains this fall because there are so many different sizes and styles available it can get a little confusing. Since we are experts in specialty tires, selling tire chain is a natural fit for us. We understand the your equipment, the conditions you work in and the specialty tires you need to do the job.

Enjoy the last few weeks of your summer!
