Hay Season and Hard To Find Specialty Tires

It’s hay season here in New England. And it always causes a flurry of activity of farmers scrambling to find tires for their hay machines. When these tires fail it always seems to be at the worst times. The machine is in the middle of the field and all work is abruptly stopped due to a tire failure. And of course, rain is in the forecast.

This scenario happens every spring and we are prepared for the calls for the “weird” tire sizes and treads. Below are the popular haying equipment tire sizes:

410×6 Sawtooth
350×6 Tedder F-2
15x600x6 Rib
400×9 Rib Implement I-1
500×15 Traction Implement I-3
590×15 Traction Implement I-3
25x750x15 Flo Rib Implement
27x950x15 Flo Rib Implement
9.5Lx14 Rib Implement I-1
9.5Lx15 Rib Implement I-1
11Lx15 Rib Implement I-1
400×36 Hay Rake Antique

In addition to these tires sizes, we see imported haying equipment that come with metric tire sizes, which creates more confusion. Some of these tires can be difficult to find. That’s why we have built a huge network of sources across the US to find these specialty tires when you need them. If it’s available, we will find it for you!

Happy Mothers Day!
