Flat Proof Mower Tires a Must!
As the mowing season winds down in the northeast, its a good time to reflect on the past selling season to see what’s working and what’s not working for our customers. This article I’d like to focus on a sure-fire winner in the what’s working column, flat proof mower tires made by one of our suppliers, Carlisle.
These are complete tire, wheel, and bearing assemblies that fit multiple brands of commercial mowing equipment: Scag, Exmark, Ferris, Walker, King Kutter, Grasshopper, Gravely, Kubota and others. I think the Lightweight polyurethane tires will provide the bounce and feel of an air filled tire with the benefit of no flats.
Forget flat tires with an innovative flat proof tire that are specifically designed by keeping in mind wheelbarrow, hand truck, golf car, or lawn tractor. The Carefree Tire is a solid and lightweight airless tire that has been manufactured from a proprietary blend of Micro-Cellular Polyurethane.
We’ve sold Carefree Tires in the past. Still buy our flatproofing from the parent company, Arnco.
Carlisle Reliance flatproof tires are a much better tire with a LOT more fitment sizes. Plus the Carlisle Reliances are now original
equipment on the major equipment manufacturers such as ExMark, Toro, Scag etc….and they do field tests to be sure.
Carefree is not in the same league, in my opinion.
