Out of the tens of thousands of tires we sell every year, it always interesting to find out the new machine or special application fitment. We’ve sold tires to customers such as the New England Patriots, Sir Richard Branson, The Almond Brothers, General Dynamics’ nuclear submarine lifts and now anti-terror robots.

The six-wheeled LandShark will join the bomb squad at Logan International Airport. The manufacturer, Black-I Robotics, required top quality tires with the most extreme tread design, and the Carlisle Xtrac filled the need. Here’s the full story from the Boston Globe.
